Modified Cygnus Class

Modified Cygnus Class Command Courier

The Cygnus was the courier version of the Hermes class scout.  A number of these ships were modified during the Four Years War to become Cygnus class command ships.

As with the Saladin class a number of the remaining Courier vessels were refitted to an experimental configuration with a neck mounted deflector dish, instead of the original that was mounted below the primary hull. This modification improved reliability of the deflector system, but did not affect combat performance.
